ARES Training & Membership

The membership requirements below for ARES will be reviewed very soon by the ARES leadership team.  Some counties may count you as a member of the unit while you work on completing the standardized requirements below.

Membership for ARES in the OR Section consists of completing four (4) ICS courses: ICS-800, ICS-700, and ICS-100, and ICS-200, plus one (1) ARRL course, EC-001.

Another requirement is to complete the OREGON ARES STANDARDIZED TRAINING PLAN.v1.7.4.2020.07.07. This document explains the various levels of membership and involvement, levels of responsibilities, and provides a checklist for topic/task completion.

Remember, training is important. In fact, it is the whole basis of our being a team…….no weak links, train, and make the team even better!
